This 1970s Vostok men’s wristwatch was made by the Chistopol Watch Factory and is powered by the mechanical caliber 2214. It is all original, recently serviced, and ready for a collector who wants a clean, honest Soviet-era daily wearer.

The Look

The cream dial gives this Vostok a warm vintage character, with clear Arabic numerals and a practical date window at 3 o’clock. The dial carries the Vostok logo and an 18-jewel inscription, rendered in the straightforward style collectors expect from Chistopol production of the period. Gold-tone hands add a soft contrast against the pale dial, while the acrylic crystal keeps the look period-correct and slightly warmer than modern mineral glass. At 34 mm across, the watch wears compactly by modern standards, but the 41 mm lug-to-lug length gives it a balanced wrist presence without feeling bulky.

Inside the Case

Inside is the Vostok caliber 2214, a mechanical 18-jewel movement with date, built for simple usability and easy serviceability. This example has been fully serviced, making it a stronger choice than an uninspected vintage Soviet watch.

Condition and Service

The watch shows visible signs of use, including scratches and rubbing to the chrome-coated brass case. This is not a polished-looking modern piece; it has the honest surface wear expected from a worn 1970s Soviet watch. The dial also shows traces of age, which suit the cream tone and add to the vintage appearance rather than making the watch feel sterile.

The screw-down caseback has scratches. The watch is all original and was serviced on July 3, 2026. The service included full disassembly, cleaning, ultrasonic washing, reassembly, lubrication, and timekeeping adjustment.

Why This One Is Interesting

This Vostok brings together several collector-friendly details: a Chistopol-made 1970s case, the 18-jewel caliber 2214, a cream Arabic-numeral dial with date, and all-original specification. The compact 34 mm size and 18 mm lug width make it easy to fit with a period-style strap of your choice, while the recent full service gives it a practical advantage over many vintage Soviet watches offered as-found.
